For the Montana State University Alumni Foundation, I designed a series of cards intended to reflect both the university and the Bozeman community. The set includes a Montana icons card, a typographic card featuring words associated with MSU and Bozeman, and a sympathy card created to express care and connection while maintaining the organization’s brand identity.
GOAL & SOLUTION
The goal of this project was to create cards that feel meaningful, recognizable, and approachable for a wide audience. By incorporating symbols, language, and visuals tied to MSU and Montana, the designs promote school spirit and a sense of place. Each card was designed to clearly represent the Montana State University Alumni Foundation to the recipient, whether they are a donor, alumni, or parent.
PROCESS WORK
Throughout the process, I used MSU’s blue and gold as the primary colors while tying in deep reds and oranges inspired by campus brick and local wildlife. All illustrations for the icons and sympathy cards were created in Procreate. I focused on keeping the drawings simple and easy to understand, ensuring clarity and consistency across the card designs.
