During my time working with the Associated Students of Montana State University (ASMSU), I created a diverse range of graphics tailored to engage the student body, with a primary focus on club organizations. These projects spanned from serious to playful, allowing me to explore various design styles and creative approaches. Collaborating directly with students, I successfully delivered designs that met a variety of needs and requests, ensuring each project aligned with their unique vision and objectives.
GOAL & SOLUTION
Design goals varied from project to project, requiring flexibility to meet unique requests. Each design had to be adapted across multiple platforms, including stationery, social media, and TV graphics. Establishing strong layout and hierarchy was essential to capturing the attention of students both on campus and within the broader community.
PROCESS WORK
I had the opportunity to meet with a variety of students to better understand their vision and what they hoped to see in the final design. Many of them had passionate, creative ideas but weren’t sure how to bring those ideas to life. I really enjoyed stepping in to help translate their thoughts into a cohesive visual identity. It felt meaningful to be a voice for something they were genuinely excited about. My process typically included two to three rounds of drafts, incorporating feedback from both the students and the graphic design team I worked with.
